Das Objekt liegt in Doverheide, einem Ortsteil von Doveren – mit einem der ältesten Ortskerne Hückelhovens und einer über 2.000-jährigen Geschichte. Jahrhundert stammenden Bausubstanz. Auch das Schloss Rurich liegt in erreichbarer Nähe und lohnt einen Ausflug. Des Weiteren ist Doveren auch über die Grenzen hinaus für das Vorkommen der "Blauen Blume" bekannt. Der Wald der blauen Blumen liegt zwischen den Ortsteilen Doveren und Baal und ist als Naturschutzgebiet ausgewiesen.
Die Stadt Hückelhoven mit zahlreichen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Supermärkten, Ärzten, Apotheken, Schulen, Hallenbad und weiteren Einrichtungen des täglichen Bedarfs ist in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Auch die benachbarte Stadt Erkelenz bietet ein umfassendes Einkaufs-, Gastronomie- und Freizeitangebot.
